Project Beneficiaries:
Trung Kien II Inn in Binh Phuoc A Quarter, Binh Chuan Ward, Thuan An Town, Binh Duong Province has 500 rooms with 1508 migrant workers, accommodation is close to factories manufacturing shoes, wood, chemical substances and flour such as Highway Company, Phuoc An Company, Binh Thanh Company, Duc Loi Company 2
Challenges in the beneficiary community:
- Lack of information about social welfare support services for themselves and their families.
- Poor spiritual life, lack of healthy and useful community activities, workers have no connection with others in the inn.
- The general regulations in the inn have not yet been agreed, leading to conflict and disunity.
Project activities:
Research and psychological counseling, support information through website ican.com
Long-term goal:
The project helps workers connect with social services and community activities. From there, improving the capacity and enhancing the ability of workers to integrate and adapt to the urban life of their families.
Short-term goal:
- Improve self-identity and entrepreneurship
- Connect with service providers to better support workers
- Organize community activities to improve workers' capacity
